VFA-27 is an F/A-18C squadron as such members will be expected to have a fundamental understanding of the Hornet and its Systems. While VFA-27 has no formal interview, new members will have to complete a flight evaluation where both skill and fit within the squadron will be examined. However, there is no need to stress or worry over this, the test is not designed to fail or deter prospective members, rather it confirms you are able to handle the workload of our missions, in turn making missions a truly enjoyable experience for both you and your wingmen. While you are in the process of becoming mission capable we implore you to take a visit down to our learning center to learn and master the skills you will be expected to know. We not only welcome but encourage our newest members to take part in free flight and training flights.
